THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY

Walter Blizard was in his sixties when he joined the D'Oyly Carte Repertory Company chorus in January 1916 as a wartime replacement. He transferred to the D'Oyly Carte "New" Opera Company as a member of the chorus in September 1919, and remained with the "New" Company until December 1922.
