Pontoline Wright was a contralto chorister on tour with the D'Oyly Carte "New" Opera Company from its inception in September 1919 until March 1925. For a few months (December 1921-February 1922), in the absence of Kitty Twinn, Miss Wright appeared as Fleta in Iolanthe and shared First Bridesmaid in Trial by Jury with Jennie Chambers.
