Deadlines for Graduation
Consult the Academic Calendar for the
deadlines, but here is an outline of what you need to do:
- Thesis option
- Submit the Appointment of Supervisory Committee
form within one year of beginning your coursework.
- Submit the Admission to Candidacy
form
at the beginning of the semester BEFORE you graduate.
This form should contain all of the courses you need to graduate, but it is not neccesary to put all of the courses you have taken on it. In addition, if you put a future class on this form, you must take this class to graduate.
- Apply for graduation on Broncoweb.
- Hold an oral thesis defense by the deadline in the academic calendar, and have your committee sign the Defense Committee Approval form.
- Submit review copies of thesis with the Final Reading Approval form to Graduate Dean's office.

Submit three final signed copies of thesis to Graduate Dean's office.
- Project option
- Submit the Admission to Candidacy
form
at the beginning of the semester BEFORE you graduate.
This form should contain all of the courses you need to graduate, but it is not neccesary to put all of the courses you have taken on it. In addition, if you put a future class on this form, you must take this class to graduate.
- Apply for graduation on Broncoweb.

Hold an oral presentation of your project.
- The graduate college no longer requires you to submit your final project to them. However, selected projects will be listed in ScholarWorks. Your project will be considered complete once you pass Math 591.
- Exam option
- Get departmental approval for masters written exam using this form
no later than the beginning of the semester BEFORE you graduate.
- Submit the Admission to Candidacy form
at the beginning of the semester BEFORE you graduate.
This form should contain all of the courses you need to graduate, but it is not neccesary to put all of the courses you have taken on it. In addition, if you put a future class on this form, you must take this class to graduate.
- Apply for graduation on Broncoweb.
