MIDI Karaoke files are standard MIDI files with the lyrics added. When played using a special MIDI Karaoke player, the lyrics are displayed on the screen and highlighted syllable by syllable in time with the music.
Further information on MIDI Karaoke and downloadable MIDI Karaoke players for many types of computers, many of them freeware, can be found at http://aitech.ac.jp/~ckelly/midi/help/midi-players.html. For the Windows environment, we recommend the free vanBasco's player which can be downloaded from www.vanbasco.com.
Sometimes when you click on a link to a Karaoke file, it opens with your default application for playing MIDI files. Either save the Karaoke file to your computer befor opening it, or download the zipped set of Karaoke files to get round this problem.
