POSTSCRIPT FILES

The PostScript files include the music scores only, and not the spoken dialogue. The spoken dialogue is provided separately as Microsoft Word files. You cannot view the Postscript files on your computer screen. You must have a PostScript printer (or PostScript software emulation) to print the Postscript files. To print them, simply "print" or "copy" them to your postscript printer from the operating system command line -- no special software is needed.

The PostScript files are provided in four self-extracting ZIP files as follows:

The Microsoft Word dialogue files are provided in a single self-extracting ZIP file:

ROADMAP

This is a "roadmap" of the files that make up my piano-vocal score and how to assemble them. The final product is a two- sided rehearsal or performance book containing all music and dialogue.

All musical numbers are PostScript (TM Adobe) files (xxx.ps). You need a PostScript printer or processor (such as Acrobat Distiller) to render them properly (see PDF files).

The Table of Contents page and all dialogue pages are Microsoft Word95 .doc files. Their names refer to their starting page numbers.

It's not as simple as printing each document separately. Some pages consist of parts of more than one document. Where this occurs, you should re-feed the page to your printer so that both parts end up on the same sheet of paper. The list below shows all files that make up the edition, and their printing order. Wherever the last page of one file and the first page of the next file should go on the same page, I have used the following notation:

 \
 /
after the file names. For example:
   file1 \
   file2 / \
   file3 /
indicates that the first page of file2 should be printed on the same sheet of paper as the last page of file1. Similarly with file3 and file2.

Without further ado, then, the Roadmap:
