Irene Appleton (1938-39)

Irene Appleton’s real name was Marjorie Appleton. She joined the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company as a soprano chorister in May 1937, and remained with the Company through September 4, 1939, when the tour was canceled due to the outbreak of World War II.
