THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANYE. Hall Davenport (1881-87) E. Hall Davenport appears to have been a member of D'Oyly Carte's London chorus at the Opera Comique and Savoy at least from 1881 to 1887. He was one of the "Gentlemen of the Chorus" who signed a letter of appreciation to Gilbert, Sullivan, and Carte in January 1882, and he was in the first productions of The Mikado and Ruddygore at the Savoy in 1887. |
