Nellie de Vere (1881, 1882)

Nellie de Vere made her New York Stage debut in September 1876 at Niblo's Garden in an extravaganza called Baba.

Miss de Vere had two engagements under D'Oyly Carte management at the Standard Theatre, New York:first as a Charity Girl in Stephens & Solomon's Billee Taylor with Carte's First American Billee Taylor Company from February to May 1881; and later in March and April 1882 when she rejoined the Carte organization in the chorus of Claude Duval, and probably Patience.

Her only subsequent appearance in a named part in New York came in May 1884 when she was Tilly Piper in the musical show Madam Piper at Wallack's Theatre.
