Joseph Robinson was a bass-baritone chorister with the D'Oyly Carte "New" Company from September 1921 to June 1925. During his last season he filled in on occasion as Go-To in The Mikado.

Robinson later appeared as a chorister or extra at Drury Lane in the musical plays The Song of the Drum (January-May 1931) and The Land of Smiles (May-July 1931).
